Cedar Rapids and surrounding area

Cedar Rapids isn’t so bad!  We went yesterday to visit my sister.  The Czech Village that was flooded very badly during the flood a few years back.  The village has made a comeback!

My sister Becky, use to work down in the Czech village and live only a few blocks away.  It is interesting to see how they are trying to come back and they have been working over a year to moveave God in your life, he is awesome too.  John 8:12   12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

If you believe that you have Jesus in your life, you will never walk in darkness.   It is a nice trip over to Cedar Rapids.  You can also visit the Amana Colonies.

Family style restaurants, with plenty of vegetables and sauerkraut.   If you like wool blankets and sweaters…. great place to buy them.  All hand made there in Amana.

I had the vegetable platter yesterday.  It wasn’t on Medifast program, but it was better then not eating at all.  Next time, I’d be better off ordering a drink and eat one of my Medifast bars, but the experience was good.

It was rainy and nasty yesterday, but it was still worth the experience.  I recommend it highly to anyone driving through eastern Iowa.  Czech village and Amana Colonies.
