Are You Jesus

Has Anyone Ever confused you with Jesus? Are you Jesus?
I am beginning our new series on “Rediscover Jesus” by Matthew Kelly.
The Prologue talks about how Paul’s life changed. I thought before I got into the paragraph it was talking about Paul of the Bible, but no. This was an ordinary guy.
It was a story of this guy Paul, who just came out of the biggest meeting of his life and his team was rushing to the airport to catch a plane.
As they were rushing to the taxi, they inadvertently knocked over a small produce stand. None of the others even noticed, but Paul stopped and turned back.
Others called and said come on we’ll miss the flight. He says without hesitation “Go ahead without me.” The lady who had the produce he realized was blind, she was crying as tears were running down her face.
Not one person on that busy street gave notice, but Paul. He picked up all the fruit and vegetables. He set up her stand again and asked her if she was ok. He then gave her money for the damages and as he turned away, she said, “Mister are you Jesus?”
She said, “I only asked because I asked him to help me when I heard the fruit and vegetables falling.”
He missed his plane and had to stay at the airport that night, but it came he time to think.
He couldn’t get the idea out of his head: When was the last time someone confused you for Jesus?
WOW – hit me with a two ton message here.
Point to Ponder: Jesus wants you to carry on his work.
Verse to Live: “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.” Matthew 6:33
Question to Consider: How much is the sheet busyness of your life preventing you from living the life God is calling you to live?
Prayer: Jesus give us all the courage to let down our guard.
